Conversion Kit Automates Grain Tarps
The LockDown Electric Conversion Kit from Sioux City Tarp, Inc. offers farmers greater convenience, efficiency and safety, enabling quick, secure grain trailer tarp operation with remote control and smartphone app integration.
Customers can choose their preferred setup: using their existing tarp, purchasing a durable 18-oz black vinyl tarp, or purchasing a 22-oz vinyl tarp available in 12 colors.
Ease of use is central to the kit’s appeal. Farmers can operate the tarp using a single-touch remote or the My Rolltarp smartphone app, available on iOS and Android.
Bill Bremer, CEO of Sioux City Tarp, Inc., saw the opportunity to add not only motorized tarp systems but also remote and smartphone capabilities.
Compatibility with manual or electric tarp systems allows many farmers and truckers to upgrade without replacing their existing hardware, while reinforced components, arm assemblies and rugged brackets ensure longevity. Manual operation remains possible via a locking spline, and essential accessories, such as tractor wiring kits and keeper cords, are available as add-ons.
The kit includes assembled front and rear arms, a motor with safety features, mounting brackets, a roll tube extension, crank retainers, plugs and locking collars, and a comprehensive control box.
All Sioux City tarps are sewn in the U.S.

Pricing begins at $2,099. Installation is free at the company’s shop or at the farmer’s location within a 700-mile radius of Sioux City. A minimal fuel charge applies.
